In the beginning, we conduct interviews with key stakeholders, discussing business objectives, industry context, customer personas, and value propositions. We also assess the product through a product demo. This phase lays the groundwork for effective UX quality assessment.
We perform a heuristic evaluation of the app to assess usability, intuitive navigation, and user interactions. Analyzing analytics helps us identify areas for improvement. We draw our attention to 2-3 key user flows of 3 main UX issues if the product is complex.
Exploring market trends and industry developments helps us identify growth opportunities for the product. Also, we conduct an analysis of competitors’ functionalities to pinpoint key areas for improving the product’s competitiveness.
Here we present the UX audit report and research findings to key stakeholders and discuss the next steps. If needed, we develop a design plan and roadmap for the next steps.
We review visual references and collect feedback on the stakeholders likes/dislikes (via Yes/No Map Workshop). We also establish UI design expectations and define key design principles. This step includes UI mood board creation as well.
This methodology allows for the determination of the level of usability. Experts “walk” through a set of the most typical user tasks, based on personas and other documentation, one step at a time.
Via heuristic evaluations, experts evaluate the product’s UI against a set of fundamental Heuristic Principles. It’s an effective way to identify usability problems in your product. The evaluations require less time and money compared to conducting usability testing.
